Greetings,

As pastor, I welcome you to the website of Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Bella Vista, Arkansas.  Our church is nestled in the beautiful Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas.  Thank you for visiting and learning about who we are and how we go about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.  I want to introduce you to our congregation and the wonderful ministries we are involved in to help others know of Christ.

Our congregation is unique in that we are a very young fellowship.  We began meeting in homes in 1989 and eventually moved into our present building in 1998.  Since that time our Church Family has grown and we constructed two new additions.  In 2006, we built four new classrooms for our Adult Sunday School classes.  In 2007, we constructed a commercial kitchen and fellowship hall and restrooms.  Both of these additions were constructed by our own members and paid for by our members and friends.  Our goal was to be able to reach more people for Christ, both in the teaching ministry and the fellowship ministry of our church.

We teach the Bible as the inspired word of God.  Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our personal Savior.  We believe in baptism by immersion, but accept all forms of baptism.  We serve open communion every Sunday.  Our strength lies in our willingness to accept people upon their public profession of faith in Jesus Christ.  We embrace three statements which sum up our beliefs:  "In Essentials, Unity.  In Nonessentials, Liberty.  In All Things, Love".  Our congregation is made up of Christians from many different denominations and backgrounds.  This is part of our strength and appeal to people hungry to learn of the love of God.

We have classes for all ages of individuals.  Our church sponsors a Christian Singles Fellowship that is very active in the community.  We have a strong Adult Choir music ministry, men's and women's groups, and "Godly Play" for children's worship.

Our Church Family continues to grow in number and we would welcome a visit from you when you are in our area.  You are 'family' when you worship with us.

Expecting More Great Things to Happen,
Paul Seal, Pastor
