Ministry Responsibilities

Administration-Elsie Johnson, Coordinator This ministry is responsible for the planning and execution of the duties of the church office. They staff the office each week day morning with volunteers who greet drop-in visitors, answer the telephone, help with mailings, and other office duties. This ministry is responsible for all office supplies and equipment and printing the Vision newsletter and the Sunday bulletins.
Christian Education-John Robertson, Coordinator The education ministry helps plan for the education and spiritual growth opportunities of the membership, including children, youth, and adults. They secure teachers and substitutes and purchase Sunday School materials.
Church Growth/Membership-Ron and Cherie Kerwell, Coordinators The growth and membership ministry is responsiible for promoting the church in the community. They make name tags, post photos, print membership directories, and maintain the church web site. They distribute membership packets to new church members and explain the opportunities of service and needs of the church to the new members. They personal growth seminar "Gifted to Serve" is offered periodically through this ministry.
Fellowship-Carlene Beam, Coordinator The fellowship ministry develops opportunities for the church to gather as a "family of God." They plan and organize dinners and other special events. They also coordinate the use of the kitchen and kitchen appliances, make sure supplies are on hand, and make recommendations for maintenance of equipment and the purchase of new kitchen eqipment.
Library-John Robertson, Coordinator This ministry is in the process of developing the church library. They will recommend books to be puchased and will catalog and give guidance on checking out books, etc.
Music-John Robertson, Coordinator The music department will provide music for church services and will guide the choir in practice and presentation. They will select music in conjunction with the Worship Coordinator and the Pastor.
Outreach-Carolyn Walker, Coordinator The outreach ministry organizes opportunities for the church to share its faith with the world. They coordinate "hands on" activities where members can help others in the community or beyond with: Meals on Wheels, Helping Hands, Highway Cleanup, and other charitable projects. They promote, publicize and coordinate "Special Offerings" to be received through the church.
Personnel-Vicki Ronald, Coordinator The personnel ministry is responsible for all paid staff except the pastor. They work with appropirate ministyr coordinators to include music, nursery, janitorial services and other related needs. They recommend changes in salary, and hiring when needed. The coordinator reports to the Church Board and is a voting member of the Board. The Personnel ministry will maintain a manual with information describing its respnosiblities, recommendations and actions, including contracts with personnel.
Property-Walt Gaspord and Richard Kuhlman, Co-Coordinators The property ministry is responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building and grounds. They see that all maintenance supplies are on hand, and generally see that all parts of the building and grounds are maintained and repaired as needed. They recommend the purchase of new equipment or major repair projects to the Church Board.
Stewardship/Finance-Bill Keller and Vicki Ronald, Coordinators The stewardship and fiance ministry is responsible for planning stewardship campaigns and formulating the budget proposals. They make sure there are stewards assigned to count the offering each Sunday and direct the Financial Secretary to record all offerings for each member. They track income an dexpense and propose any needed changes to the Board.
Worship-Lila Hole, Coordinator The worship ministry is responsible for the planning and execution of the worship life of the church. They obtain worship leaders and greeters, assure that supplies are available and ready to use, and coordinate the Sunday flowers. They plan the primary order of worship, special services and seasonal celebrations in conjunction with the pastor and music director. The Diaconate is responsible for serving communion during the service and for purchasing communion supplies.
Godly Play (Children's Worship)-Coordinator still to be chosen This ministry was formerly under the worship coordinator. They plan, prepare, and execute a creative worship service for children between the ages of 4 and 10 during regular church service.
